A Non-Governmental Organization, Initiative Black and White, Ghana has brought tears of joy to the eyes of pupils and teachers of the Kwahu Praso R/C Basic ‘A’ school, in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region of Ghana after they furnished their library room.

The primary school is one of the few schools that provide education for the children in the Kwahu South District but have had to do so without a properly furnished library.

This had been a huge challenge to the discharge and proper impactation of knowledge from the teachers to the students.

In a letter addressed to Initiative Black and White, Ghana, dated 15th April, 2018, and signed by the headmaster, Mr. Peter Amakye, the school had a room meant for library but did not have shelves to hold the books neither did they have chairs and tables in the said room.

He noted that these challenges compelled the pupils to sit on the floor to study during library periods.

He subsequently appealed to the generosity of the NGO to come to their aid in furnishing the said library room.

In a deedful response, Initiative Black and White, Ghana, sponsored by Georg-August-Zinn-Schule, Kassel, took full charge and furnished the library room of the school with state-of-the-art equipment that included tables, desks, whiteboards among others.

The headmaster of the school, Mr. Peter Amakye could not hide his joy at the presentation ceremony.

He thanked Initiative Black and White and all others that came to their aid for this grand gesture which he described as overwhelmingly gracious.

The pupils and teachers accordingly expressed their happiness at the gesture and promised to take good care of the items.
